POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for organizing, implementing, and analyzing systems, using company processes to coordinate manufacturing projects. This role involves coordinating with manufacturers, tracking production, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting internal teams by providing timely and accurate information when needed. The Manufacturing Coordinator will also assist with identifying, researching and vetting national and international manufacturing operations to add to our growing list of preferred suppliers. This role will also be responsible for researching, and implementing software that can assist with on-going performance of department.

STRUCTURE

The Manufacturing Coordinator reports to the Director, Manufacturing.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Coordinate production schedules and manufacturing activities
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve any production issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records
  • Ensure timely delivery of finished products
  • Identify, research and vet national and international manufacturing operations
  • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques
  • Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as necessary to meet production targets
  • Assist with implementation and operation of software and programs for automating manufacturing to optimize procedures
  • Communicate with manufacturers and team members to achieve mutual satisfaction
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as manufacturing coordinator
  • Strong customer service
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing software
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Demonstration of working with international and local manufacturers (in particular US/Mexico)
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset
