EnergyLink International is excited to share significant progress in our work at the Champlain Hudson Power Express (CHPE) Astoria converter station. We have recently completed setting and installing the Air Handling Units (AHU) and have completed installing the exterior panels on the Converter, Service, Relay, and Storage Buildings.
This milestone signifies a pivotal step forward in supplying the New York power grid with 1,250 MW of renewable energy, advancing New York towards its environmental goals. Under the guidance of Derek Wallace, PMP, C.Tech, Director of Projects, and with the oversight of Colin Martin, Sr. Project Manager, and Mike Waugh, Sr. Manager, Construction, our team’s continued dedication to safety and quality has been recognized with multiple on-site safety awards from Kiewit.
We are proud to support Kiewit’s activities in the New York City region, contributing to their 146 miles (235 km) of on-land construction. This collaboration reflects our collective commitment to empowering the future of New York’s energy grid.
Supporting the success of our partners’ projects is another demonstration of how EnergyLink is connecting you to a better way.
