We are pleased to inform everyone that our own, Harry Wong, has been announced as a Calgary Business Leader Award Recipient for 2025.

This is a great honor and long-standing tradition in the Calgary business community that recognizes and celebrates individuals who have built strong companies, created opportunity, and given back to the community to make Calgary a better place to live and work.

The distinct group of finalists are selected via an independent panel of judges, this year consisting of Trevor Winkler (MNP), Tyler Malden, CFA (ATB), and Bart Chudleigh (Chiu School of Business, and Technology). The 2025 leaders have been selected from a vast field of nominations spanning every industry and sector, all of whom have left their mark on this vibrant and growing city.

Harry’s leadership style stood out among the nominations this year as some of the comments we received from the judges included the impressive overall growth and strategic direction of EnergyLink, the innovation and leadership within the company that puts EnergyLink at the forefront of our industry, and the unique culture that has been built that allows team members to thrive while rewarding them as the company continues to excel. One specific mention relating to our culture was the Florin Trapsa Scholarship that Harry created to honor our dear colleague’s memory while creating something meaningful for Florin’s son.

Congratulations Harry!!! A well-deserved honor and we are so happy you are being recognized for a lifetime of achievement that is long overdue and for creating this phenomenon called EnergyLink.

EnergyLink International is proud to have stood alongside Black Hills Energy, local leaders, and project partners to break ground on a project that will strengthen reliability for communities across South Dakota and northeast Wyoming.

The Lange II Generating Station will provide 99 MW, powered by six fast-start, dual-fuel RICE units capable of going from zero to full output in about five minutes. That flexibility helps balance renewables and meet peak demand on the hottest and coldest days, while replacing aging units and preparing the grid for the future.

EnergyLink is constructing the 33,000 sq. ft. acoustic engine hall and the 11,000 sq. ft. administration building. It is engineered for performance, safety, and efficiency. The EnergyLink team will be working alongside Black Hills Energy, local contractors and crews to ensure commercial operations begin on schedule for Q4, 2026.

Thank you to Black Hills Energy, state agencies, engineers, contractors, suppliers and our dedicated team for turning plans into progress. We’re proud to be building safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy infrastructure that’s connecting you to a better way.

At EnergyLink International, we know that it is our team members that sets us apart. Their dedication and commitment are what makes us global leaders in air emissions and noise management solutions.

Earlier this week, we recognized their achievements at our annual EnergyLink Western Canada Team Golf Tournament.

It was a “par”fect day as we took some time to celebrate and re-energize our commitment to connecting you to a better way.

As a trusted supplier of choice for today’s leading gas turbine packagers, EnergyLink International clients aren’t just customers.

They are close collaborators, partners, and respected peers as we work together building dependable energy solutions.

EnergyLink was proud to host a customer appreciation event for ProEnergy to celebrate our work achievements improving power

reliability across the US at their impressive campus in Sedalia, Missouri. Complete with food trucks and music for all ProEnergy

employees, we spent the day celebrating what can be achieved when working together including:

  • 50+ Dispatchable power units to the ERCOT grid
  • Joint R&D and piloting for EnergyLink patent pending Direct Injection SCR technology
  • Supporting ProEnergy’s global initiative of supplying clean drinking water to 90,000 children across Africa
  • Industry leading technical sessions across the US and at ProEnergy’s own Users Conference

We sincerely thank ProEnergy for making us their partner of choice and we look forward to celebrating even more achievements together in the future.

Congratulations to Lexi MacLean, Recipient of the 2025 EnergyLink Developmental Education Award of Citizenship.

EnergyLink would like to congratulate Lexi MacLean on being the recipient of the 2025 Developmental Education Award of Citizenship. Your positive energy and kind spirit are a great example for all of us as we celebrate your achievements. Congratulations Lexi and we wish you all the best with your future endeavors.

This award was created by Karen Brown (spouse of EnergyLink team member, Ron Brown, Senior Manager, Procurement and Logistics). As an Education Assistant for the Development Education Program at College Avenue Secondary School (CASS), Karen wanted to create an award that recognizes the exemplary characteristics of students who strive harder to make our communities a more positive environment. Through continuous demonstration of a cheerful and positive attitude, displaying kindness to others and being a respected and respectful member of the school community, this award exemplifies the values that are at the core of EnergyLink.

Supporting our communities through positive energy is one more way EnergyLink is connecting you to a better way.

EnergyLink International’s own Aaron Atherton and Gary Hellard took part in the 2025 Alltricity Scholarship Foundation Tournament, hosted by Alltricity Network – formerly RMEL. Playing alongside Tristate G&T’s Barry Ingold and Kendre DiPietro at the Arrowhead Golf Club, EnergyLink was excited to be a part of this very worthy cause and further demonstrate our strong commitment to the electric utilities industry.

For 25 years, the Alltricity Scholarship Foundation has supported funding educational opportunities and scholarships for deserving students pursuing careers in the electric utilities industry. EnergyLink International was proud to sponsor Hole 16 and help raise a record amount of over $85,000, the highest total in the tournament’s history.

EnergyLink International is proud to showcase our latest milestones on-site. We recently began erecting standing steel for two enclosures for a repowering project: an expansive acoustic engine hall and a standalone utility building.

The engine hall, spanning over 100 feet in length and width, features innovative roof mounted ridge vents, designed by EnergyLink’s Chris Giesbrecht, to achieve acoustic mitigation goals. Additionally, the hall includes a robust 5-ton roof crane and a meticulously engineered cable tray system, developed in collaboration with our client.

The utility building, equipped with multiple switchgear and breaker control panels, electrical rooms and strategically placed floor penetrations, seamlessly integrates into the centralized operational control room and the main instrument air compression system.

By working side-by-side with our clients, we deliver turnkey solutions that meet the toughest acoustic and structural requirements for power plants. The progress on this project is another example of how EnergyLink is powering your success and connecting you to a better way.

EnergyLink International’s Jeff Wirt, Director, Catalyst Systems, shares insights into our innovative Direct Injection (DI) system in Alltricity Network – formerly RMEL Electric Energy Magazine’s Spring 2025 issue.

In his article “Direct Injection: Redefining NOx and CO Removal from Gas Turbines,” Jeff explores how our DI system reduces system size, cuts capital costs, and simplifies maintenance, all while achieving stringent NOx limits of 2.5 ppm. With testing conducted in partnership with PROENERGY, we are excited to share how this innovative advancement in SCR technology can advance your operations.
